Billing & Pricing¶
This guide explains Ag2Trust's pricing model, tiers, and billing mechanics.
Pricing Model¶
Ag2Trust uses an agent-hour billing model. You pay based on how long your agents run, with two billing modes available.
Billing Modes¶
| Mode | How it works | Best for |
|---|---|---|
| Hourly | Pay-per-use, metered by agent runtime | Variable workloads, testing |
| Monthly | Prepaid reserved agent capacity | Predictable workloads, cost certainty |
You can switch between modes in Settings > Billing.

How Agent-Hours Are Calculated¶
Agent runtime is tracked automatically:
- Start event recorded when an agent starts running
- Stop event recorded when an agent stops (manual or automatic)
- Daily billing job calculates total agent-seconds per customer
- Hours rounded up (e.g., 61 minutes = 2 billable hours)
Example:
- Agent A runs for 2 hours 15 minutes → 3 billable hours
- Agent B runs for 45 minutes → 1 billable hour
- Total: 4 billable hours
Reserved Agents (Monthly Mode)¶
With monthly billing, you prepay for a fixed number of reserved agents:
- 1-50 agents available per tier
- Agents can run 24/7 within your reserved capacity
- Increases take effect immediately (prorated)
- Decreases apply at next billing period
Managing Your Subscription¶
Upgrading¶

- Click Upgrade

FAQ¶
When does my billing period start?¶
Your billing period starts when you upgrade and renews monthly on that date.
What happens if I exceed my agent limit?¶
Requests to start new agents beyond your limit are rejected. Existing running agents continue normally.
What happens when I hit my daily token budget?¶
New agent requests are blocked with a 402 Payment Required error until the budget resets at midnight UTC. This is fail-closed behavior to prevent unexpected costs.
How do I reduce my bill?¶
- Stop idle agents when not in use
- Use monthly billing if you have predictable workloads
- Monitor usage in the dashboard to identify optimization opportunities
- Optimize prompts to reduce token consumption
What payment methods are accepted?¶
We accept all major credit cards via Stripe. Enterprise customers can pay by invoice.
